Paladine Roye (1946-2001)
Paladine H. Roye is a member of the Ponca tribe, who lives in Austin, TX. He has been a full-time painter since 1979. Paladine works in acrylic, watercolor, gouache & prints. Paladine has exhibited his artwork extensively & has won numerous awards at the American Indian Art Festival & Market (Dallas, TX), the Colorado Indian Market (Denver, CO), the Cherokee National Museum (Tahlequah, OK), the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market (Phoenix, AZ), the Inter-Tribal Indian ceremonials (Gallup, NM), the Philbrook Museum of Art (Tulsa, OK), the Red Earth Festival (Oklahoma City, OK), the Santa Monica (CA) Indian ceremonial, the Indian Arts of America's Twin Cities Indian Market & Juried Art Show (St. Paul, MN), Tulsa (OK) Art Fesival & Pow Wow & the Pasadina (CA) Indian & Western show. Paladine has artwork featured in the Thomas Gilcrease Institute of American History & Art (Tulsa, OK).
